Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Due to the implications arising from COVID-19 and the recent advice from the Australian Government, we have unfortunately had to temporarily close down our storefront activity until further notice.

Our stores will remain temporarily closed as we continue to monitor government and travel advice. We will reopen stores in stages across the country when significant international travel has resumed.

Please note that our website will remain active for Currency Pass purchases, reloads and other card activity, plus Travel Money Transfers and Travel Insurance.

We cannot facililate any foreign currency cash transactions at this time, this includes exchanging foreign currency into Australian Dollars.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding during this time. We hope to be back up and serving you as soon as we possibly can!

Currency Pass:

The Currency Pass portal is still completely functional! You can continue to reload, check your balance, transaction history and transfer funds via the portal, and using your Currency Pass is not impacted.

If you do not have a Currency Pass yet, you can also purchase a new card online.

MoneyGram:

MoneyGram is no longer available via Travel Money Oz as we have discontinued this service. MoneyGram continues to operate globally, please call MoneyGram on 1800 049 087 or visit their website.

Travel Money Transfers:

Travel Money Transfers are still available via our website to help you transfer money to and from another country. If you don't already have an account, you can sign up online.

Travel Insurance:

Travel Insurance is still available for purchase via our website.

The short answer is we are unsure. Unfortunately, we have had to temporarily pause the purchase of all foreign cash due to restrictions placed upon us during this unpredented time. We recommend using our online cash out process to return these funds to your nominated bank account.

To cash out, login to your Currency Pass account and click on ‘Cash out’ in either of the menus.

If you are unable to complete the online cash out process, please call 13 61 95.

If you have lost your card and want to cash out the balance, please call 13 61 95.

Login using your registered card email address and password.

If you’re having trouble remembering your password, on the Login page, select 'I have forgotten my password' to reset your account password. If you haven't received your reset password email within 20minutes, or if any of this isn't proving to be easy, please call 13 61 95 (or +61 2 8974 0856 if calling from overseas).

You can still load your card online! Log in to your Currency Pass account and follow the prompts to reload.
