Bali calling your name?

For Australians planning a trip to Indonesia, the AUD to Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) exchange rate just hit an 8-month high, making it a great time to exchange your currency.

Despite a volatile start to the month, the Indonesian Rupiah has just reached its best rate since August last year, with the market rate peaking at 10,672.1 IDR per AUD.

For example, if you exchanged $1000 AUD worth of IDR, you’d get an extra 410,740 rupiah more than the 2025 average, which is nearly $40AUD!

With a casual restaurant meal only costing around $5, that extra money goes a long way and will buy you a few extra cocktails to sip at your favourite Bali beach club.

Even if your trip isn't for a while, it's a good idea to get your foreign cash sorted early while the exchange rates are in your favour. And if you're worried about the exchange rates getting even better, don't stress because we've got currency FOMO sorted with our Rate Move Guarantee - if the rates keep getting better in the next 14 days, you can come back in store and get back the difference!

Come and see us in store to grab your Indonesian Rupiah today, or order online with same day delivery or easy click and collect.

It's important to note that when discussing these exchange rates, we've used the market rate - the perceived value between two economies - which is different to the retail rate available to the public (what us travellers use). Like the market rate, the retail exchange rate fluctuates every half hour, so it's important to check with your foreign exchange consultant before you swap you currency.
