Rate Move Protection – Terms and Conditions

In these terms and conditions, references to “Travel Money Oz” or “Travel Money Group”, means Travel Money Currency Exchange Pty Ltd (ABN 46 121 451 723) trading as 'Travel Money Oz’. 1. Rate Move Protection will be automatically applied to all foreign currency transactions of all currencies and rate types completed in store at participating Travel Money Group stores, from the time and date of purchase, subject to these terms and conditions. It excludes load transactions for Multi-currency Cash Passport or Currency Pass.  
2. Rate Move Protection applies only to movements in Travel Money Group’s publicly available  
   in-store exchange rates (the “Board Rate”). Changes to market rates or competitor rates are not covered by Rate Move Protection.
3. Rate Move Protection is not available for transactions made online via travelmoneyoz.com.  
4. The Rate Move Protection period (the “Claim Period”) applies from the time and date of the original transaction and continues until the close of business on the 7th calendar day following the transaction date, or, if that day is not a business day, the next business day.  
5. Travel Money Group reserves the right to amend currencies, transaction types, or rate types at any time without notice. Pending Rate Move Protection transactions initiated before such amendments will be honoured during the Claim Period.  
6. A Customer must present a claim (in writing or verbally) that there has been an improvement in the Board Rate as at the time and date of their claim against the transaction rate provided at the original time and date of their transaction within the Claim Period (the "Rate Move Protection Claim").  
7. Rate Move Protection Claims can only be submitted by a Customer and processed by a Travel Money Group team member in the store in which the original purchase was made and upon presentation of the original sales receipt with the Rate Move Protection reference detailed in the transaction.
8. A Rate Move Protection Claim only applies to a maximum of AUD$5,000 of the original transaction value.  
9. The amount of the Rate Move Protection Claim cannot exceed the AUD amount of the original transaction amount.  
10. Only one Rate Move Protection Claim may be redeemed per transaction within the Claim Period. Multiple Rate Move Protection Claims within the Claim Period will not be accepted.  
11. A Rate Move Protection Claim will only be honoured for the original Customer. Valid Identification may be requested by the Travel Money Group consultant.  
12. Rate Move Protection Claim amounts will be deposited into the original Customer's nominated bank account within seven (7) business days. Rate Move Protection Claims cannot be provided in cash, credit card or via EFTPOS on the day the Rate Move Protection Claim is submitted.  
13. Travel Money Group reserves the right to withdraw or suspend the offer of Rate Move Protection during any large impact global event causing major disruptions to global currency markets that results in a change exceeding 5% between Board Rates. In such an event, a Rate Move Protection Claim will only be honoured for changes in Board Rates up to, but not exceeding 5%.  
14. Rate Move Protection is available to Customers for personal use only. Foreign currency wholesalers, other financial institutions or currency providers cannot add Rate Move Protection to any purchase. Travel Money Group consultants reserve the right to refuse transactions that they suspect are not for personal use.
