Our story
Travel Money Group is proudly part of Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd, one of the world’s largest and most trusted travel businesses.
Our journey began in 2006 when Flight Centre acquired Nationwide Currency Services (NCS), a group of seven local currency exchange businesses. In 2011, we united them under one name — Travel Money Oz — and we’ve been helping Australians get more travel money in their wallets ever since.
With travel in our DNA, expanding overseas was the natural next step. In 2014, we crossed the ditch to join our mates at Travel Money NZ (they loved our all-black uniforms). A year later, Travel Money Group was officially formed — bringing both brands together under one family.
Today, we’re proud to say we’re more traveller than banker, dedicated to helping Aussies explore the world with confidence, value, and peace of mind.
