You'll receive:

$5 AUD bonus on returns between $100–$499.99 AUD equivalent
$10 AUD bonus on returns of $500 AUD equivalent or more

What makes May special? Normally, Buy Back Bonus only applies to currency purchased from Travel Money Oz and returned within 90 days. This May, those rules don't apply — bring us any eligible foreign cash and get the bonus

Special Promotional Terms
During the promotional period, Travel Money Oz is offering an enhanced Buy Back Bonus with relaxed eligibility requirements. The following special conditions apply:
No Original Purchase Requirement – You do not need to have originally purchased your foreign currency from Travel Money Oz to be eligible for the Buy Back Bonus during this promotion.
No Time Limit – The standard 90-day claim period does not apply. Foreign currency purchased at any time and from any provider is eligible.
No Receipt Required – You do not need to present an original purchase receipt during the promotional period.
One Bonus Per Customer – Each customer is eligible to receive the Buy Back Bonus once during the promotional period (May 6-31, 2026).

Buy Back Bonus Tier Structure
The Buy Back Bonus is applied to your transaction as follows:
Transactions under $100 AUD equivalent – Not eligible for Buy Back Bonus
Transactions $100 - $499 AUD equivalent – Receive $5 AUD bonus
Transactions $500+ AUD equivalent – Receive $10 AUD bonus
Important Conditions
Board Rate Required – Buy Back Bonus is only available when exchanging at our standard board rate. Negotiated or special rates are not eligible.
One Bonus Per Transaction – The bonus is applied once per transaction, regardless of how many different currencies you exchange.
Excluded Currencies – The following currencies are NOT eligible for Buy Back Bonus:

DKK – Danish Kroner
EGP – Egyptian Pound
ILS – Israel Shekel
INR – Indian Rupee

Personal Use Only – This offer is available to retail customers only. Foreign currency wholesalers, financial institutions, and currency providers are not eligible.
In-Store Only – Buy Back Bonus applies to cash transactions in participating Travel Money Oz stores only. It does not apply to Multi-currency Cash Passport or Currency Pass load transactions.
Right to Refuse – Travel Money Oz reserves the right to verify customer identity and decline transactions suspected to be commercial in nature or otherwise not compliant with these terms.
Return to Standard Terms
After May 31, 2026, the Buy Back Bonus program will return to standard terms and conditions, which include:
Original purchase must be from Travel Money Oz
90-day claim period applies from original purchase date
Original receipt must be presented
Original purchase must be dated October 1, 2025 or later
Transaction must be processed at the same store where original purchase was made

What currencies are covered?

The Buy Back Bonus applies to almost all the currencies we trade — so whether it’s euros, yen, or dollars, you can bring them back within 90 days and get a little extra on top.

Buy Back Bonus Terms and Conditions
In these terms and conditions, references to “Travel Money Oz”, and “our” means Travel Money Currency Exchange Pty Ltd (ABN 46 121 451 723) trading as 'Travel Money Oz’. Our registered office is located at 275 Grey Street South Brisbane QLD 4101. You can also contact us on enquiries@travelmoneyoz.com
1. For the purpose of these terms and conditions, Eligible Currencies are defined as one of the foreign currencies that may be sold back to Travel Money Oz and qualify for a one off bonus amount in Australia Dollars (“AUD”), applied to the buyback transaction based on the original purchase value of the Eligible Currency (“Buy Back Bonus”). The list of excluded currencies is published on the Travel Money Oz website and is updated regularly here.
2. The Buy Back Bonus is applied as follows:
  transactions below $100 AUD are not eligible to receive a Buy Back Bonus;
  for transactions of Eligible Currencies valued above $100 AUD and below $500 AUD, a one-off Buy Back Bonus of $5 AUD will be applied to the transaction; and
  for transactions of Eligible Currencies valued at or above $500 AUD, a one-off Buy Back Bonus of $10 AUD will be applied to the transaction.
3. Buy Back Bonus can only be added to purchases of Eligible Currencies for cash in store, subject to these terms and conditions and excludes load transactions for Multi-currency Cash Passport or Currency Pass.
4. Buy Back Bonus can only be added to a transaction when the Customer has purchased an Eligible Currency in cash on or after 1 October 2025. Purchases before this date are not eligible for the bonus when exchanging back into AUD.
5. Buy Back Bonus is only available at participating Travel Money Oz stores.
6. The period covered by Buy Back Bonus applies from the date of the original transaction to close of business 90 calendar days following the transaction date (the "Buy Back Bonus Claim Period").
7. Buy Back Bonus only applies when a customer is selling back an Eligible Currency to Travel Money Oz during the Buy Back Bonus Claim Period (a “Buy Back Bonus Claim”), in accordance with these terms and conditions. It cannot be added to initial transactions where Travel Money Oz is buying a foreign currency from the customer in exchange for AUD.
8. Travel money Oz will pay the Buy Back Bonus as part of the overall buy-back transaction and at the standard publicly available rate on the day of the transaction.
9. Travel Money Oz reserves the right to amend excluded currencies at any time without notice. Pending Buy Back Bonus transactions will be honoured during the Buyback Claim Period.
10. Buy Back Bonus Claims can only be submitted by a Customer and processed by a Travel Money Oz team consultant in the store in which the original purchase was made and upon presentation of the original sales receipt.
11. Only one Buy Back Bonus may be claimed per eligible transaction. Multiple Buy Back Bonus claims in respect of the same original transaction will not be accepted.
12. A Buy Back Bonus Claim will only be honoured for the original Customer. Valid ID and original receipt must be presented to the Travel Money Oz consultant.
13. Travel Money Oz reserves the right to withdraw or suspend the offer of Buy Back Bonus at any time, including during large impact global events causing major disruptions to global currency markets. Pending Buy Back Bonus transactions will be honoured during the Buy Back Bonus Claim Period.
14. Buy Back Bonus is available to Customers for personal use only. Foreign currency wholesalers, other financial institutions or currency providers cannot add Buy Back Bonus to any purchase. Travel Money Oz consultants reserve the right to refuse transactions that they suspect are not for personal use.
