Coffee: €2.20 (about £1.90 / $3.60 AUD) – for a regular cappuccino (or café con leche).
Water: €1.60 (about £1.40 / $2.60 AUD) – for a standard water bottle.
Bottle of Wine: €7.50 (about £6.50 / $12.30 AUD) – to make Sangria.
Food: €20 (about £17.40 / $32.80 AUD) – seafood paella, please.
Fine Dining: €65 (about £56.50 / $106.50 AUD) – if you’re feeling a little fancy.
Local Transport: Around €2.00 (about £1.75 / $3.30 AUD) – this varies based on where you are!

Budget: Around €65-70 Euros (£57-61 / $107-$115 AUD) per day
EG: Free hostel brekky, 1x cheap meal (tapas), supermarket snacks, and a bike tour of Madrid.
Moderate: Around €120-135 Euros (£104-118 / $197-$221 AUD) per day
EG: 2x cheap meals, regional train ticket, street food snacks, and a guided tour of the Sagrada Família (standard entry now €26).

Cash or card in Spain?
You can pretty much pay in cash for everything, though many businesses are happy to accept card too.
The best bet? Take mostly cash but load up your Currency Pass prepaid travel card in Euros as well to withdraw when you need.
ATMs are plentiful in all but the most isolated towns.
